Dr. Denise Howard is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University Schools of Medicine and Public Health and Hygiene where she received a Masters in Public Health and a Medical Degree. Following medical school, Dr. Howard completed a four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Pittsburgh's Magee Women's Hospital. She then undertook a fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the University of Michigan. After completing fellowship training, Dr. Howard remained at the University of Michigan, serving as an Assistant Professor. She provided care for women with pelvic floor problems, performed clinical research in the areas of urinary incontinence, and trained residents.

Today Dr. Howard is the Director of Georgia Urogynecology. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Urogynecologic Society, and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. Dr. Howard has extensive surgical experience, is well published and is extremely respected in her field.
